PostHeaderIcon Flat Washers, Prevent Seeped Lubricants

Open the lid bolts crankcase or engine oil tank or the axle is often done when replacing the new lubricant. Finished doing refills, usually ends with giving seall PVC on the screw or bolt drat.

That is clear, so that no lubricating fluid seeped from between crankcase bolt thread. This method is always done in every garage mechanic. But this way is actually not recommended because it can cause the screw on the bolt or crankcase becomes loose.

As a workaround, use a ring or a special flat washers made of aluminum whose function is similar to PVC seal. Because aluminum is a soft material, ring or washer will follow the shape of crankcase hole so that no space or gap for the lubricant to seep out.

Ring or  is available in different sizes has a thickness of about 3 mm to be squashed and lock the crankcase bolts. Can be bought at a cheap price depending on size. Cheap is not it?
